Workshops are one-day events, which are usually not consecutive, and can spread over a number of weeks, or occasionally months. They are biased towards training and discussion, mixing practical and theoretical concepts. Workshops are geared towards training for both the professional and the volunteer/private sector, and are very focussed upon a particular topic. Attendance can be for one workshop only, or for the whole series of workshops, as required. Field trips, where arranged, are used to provide 'real world' examples directly related to the subject matter of the indoor-based events. Generally, the topics discussed are aimed at industry professionals, managers and trainers. However, this does not exclude students or members of the general public, who are also welcomed openly, particularly if an active interest in conservation, biodiversity or the environment is pursued. |
